Hello and a warm welcome, I’m pleased that you want to learn more about me. My name is Daniel and I’m a trainer, instructor and coach at the skate school SkaMiDan, as well as the founder and owner of SkaMiDan — skating school and skate shop. First of all, I would like to tell you a short story, so let us take a quick look at the past.
I’m a passionate and versatile inline skater, rollerblader and roller skater and I just love the skate life! I wanted and want to make first steps on inline skates as easy as possible. Because of that, in the year 2016, I started to make video tutorials about inline skating. It quickly became very clear to me that my passion for skating is much greater than I expected.
This is why I decided to start my own business. So one year later I have established my own skate school for inline skating. The inline skating courses were very well received and just gave me an immense joy. Through all the courses I was allowed to get to know that many friendly, passionate and open-minded people. It was and it’s just great! But something saddened me.
More and more frequently I heard about people that they decided to quit inline skatingI But why? Many inline skaters quit skating because their skates don’t fit, because of hurting pressure points and uncomfortable protectors. So I told myself, it needs not to be the case and so my own skate shop was born! A skate shop only with good and high quality products, which has been tested by myself or friends, just products which convinces myself.
In the year 2019 it was time for an expansion of my skating school. This meant to find some more experienced trainers and coaches. Finally our skating school is what it is, a skate school with a wide range of course offers with different coaches and team riders.
Lastly a few more information about me. As already mentioned, my name is Daniel and I’m a skater of passion. I was born in 1989 and grew up in a small, but nice village called Haltingen in Baden-Württemberg in Germany. I was lucky enough to grew up in a friendly and peaceful neighbourhood. For us it was normal to know, to help and to support each other, as well as to celebrate joint festivals.
But why do I mention this? For me inline skating reflects exactly that: Happy and passionate people, people with less prejudices, cohesion between people they just love life. Skating is like a small, but big family, spread right around the world.
I see myself in casual skating, fitness inline skating, aggressive inline skating, urban inline skating, as well as slalom inline skating and offroad inline skating.
