Shipping Costs

The shipping costs for our rental equipment are calculated individually.

Please contact us before or after placing your order to confirm the shipping costs and discuss further details.

Below are three examples:

1x pair of roller skates/inline skates, including packaging, weighs between 3.5 and 4.5 kg.

  • The shipping costs within Germany for a 10kg package are approximately €10. Return shipping via us costs €8 per package. Thus, the total cost for shipping and return of 2 pairs of roller skates would be around €18.
  • The shipping costs within Germany for a 30kg package are approximately €22. Return shipping via us costs €8 per package. Thus, the total cost for shipping and return of 2 pairs of roller skates + 2 pairs of inline skates, including protective gear, would be around €30.
  • The shipping costs for larger quantities, such as 50 pairs of roller skates for a roller disco, can vary significantly depending on the selected shoe sizes and the mix of roller skates for children and adults.

Size finder

To make sure you choose the correct size for your new urban inline skates, we have put together some important information and tips below.

Take the time to read our size guide and find the right size first time. If you still have any questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.

  • In short: Your barefoot foot length plus 5 mm for a performance-oriented fit or 10 mm for greater comfort must not exceed the stated mondo size of the skate (shown as “Mondo” in our shop, e.g. 26.6 cm).
  • Skate width: You can find the width of each model in the short description or product specifications. We distinguish between five categories: very narrow, narrow, medium, wide and very wide.

Choosing the Right Skate Size

If you are not yet familiar with the brand or model of an urban skate, there is only one truly reliable size measurement: the mondo size. In our shop, this is stated either in millimetres (mm) or centimetres (cm).

You can find the mondo size both in the size chart included in the product images and directly in the size selection.

Your barefoot foot length plus 5 mm for a performance-oriented fit or 10 mm for greater comfort must not exceed the stated mondo size of the skate (shown as “Mondo” in our shop, e.g. 26.6 cm).

Example:

  1. Measure your foot length while barefoot. Stand with your heels against a door frame or a straight wall without a skirting board. Do not trace around your foot. Instead, slide an object with a straight edge, such as a box or chopping board, up to your longest toe. Then measure the distance between the wall and the object.
  2. Add an allowance of 5 to 10 mm to your measured foot length, depending on the thickness of your socks and your preferred level of comfort.
  3. The result must not be greater than the stated mondo size of the selected skate size.

If your foot measures 26.0 cm, adding 5 mm for maximum performance results in a required internal length of 26.5 cm.

If size EU 41 has a mondo size of 26.4 cm, it is 1 mm too short. In this case, you should choose size EU 42.

Trying them on: When standing with your legs straight in your fully laced and fastened skates, your toes may lightly touch the front of the outer shell. However, they should neither press against it nor be curled.

In the typical skating stance, with your knees bent forwards and positioned roughly above your toes, there should be a few millimetres of space between your toes and the front of the outer shell. Your toes should not touch the shell in this position.

Choosing the Right Fit and Skate Width

Under “Fit” in the product specifications or short description, you will find information about the width of each skate.

We distinguish between five categories:

  • Very narrow
  • Narrow
  • Medium
  • Wide
  • Very wide

You should only choose a very narrow or narrow fit if you are certain that you have very narrow feet. These fits may also be the right choice if maximum control and an especially secure fit are more important to you than comfort.

A pronounced foot arch can often be identified by a strongly crescent-shaped footprint, for example, when walking across the floor with wet feet. In this case, your foot width is probably in the medium range.

If, on the other hand, you have flatter feet and leave a less crescent-shaped or almost complete footprint, you probably have wider feet.

Example:

If your bare foot measures approximately 26 cm in length and 11 cm in width, as shown in our illustration, it tends to be on the wider side.
As every skate fits differently, this information is intended only as a rough guide.

The following points are also particularly important for urban inline skating:

  • Choosing the correct size for your urban inline skates is essential to ensure optimal control over your skates, including when performing tricks such as slides or airs.
  • In the typical skating stance, there should be some space between your toes and the front of the outer shell. This clearance is important because your foot may slide slightly forwards inside the skate during slides, airs or sudden stops. If the skate is too short or your foot is not held securely enough, your toes may hit the outer shell and cause severe pain.

You can find more tips and tricks on how to prevent or eliminate pain in urban inline skates and adjust them to your foot shape and individual needs here!

Care instructions

Care Tips for Hardboot Inline Skates – Tough, But Not Maintenance-Free
Hardboot inline skates are known for their sturdy outer shell, high level of control, and long durability. They’re especially popular in aggressive skating, urban skating, or on longer routes. Despite their ruggedness, hardboots also require regular maintenance to keep their performance and lifespan intact. In this article, we’ll show you what to look out for.

Why Hardboots Need Care
Even though hardboot skates can take a beating, skating puts massive stress on both material and mechanics – from jumps, slides, rough pavement, or changing weather conditions. Neglected skates quickly lose performance and can even become unsafe in the worst case.

1. Cleaning After Every Session

A quick check after each ride prevents long-term damage:

  • Clean the outer shell: Wipe the hard shell with a damp cloth or soft brush to remove dirt, sand, and dust.

Air out the liners: Remove the inner boots (if removable) after skating and let them dry thoroughly. This prevents odors and mold.

Avoid heat sources:

  • Never dry skates on heaters or in direct sunlight – plastic and cushioning materials can warp.

2. Maintain Wheels and Bearings

Wheels and bearings are the most heavily used parts of your skates.

Rotate wheels:

  • Swap the wheels around regularly to avoid uneven wear. This is especially important for aggressive or urban setups.

Clean bearings:

  • If the wheels don’t spin freely, remove the bearings, clean them, and lubricate with suitable oil.

Replace bearings:

  • If bearings are rusty, noisy, or damaged, replacing them is usually the only solution.

Check antirocker wheels:

  • In aggressive setups, don’t forget the small center wheels.

3. Keep Closure Systems in Check

A secure fit is only possible with intact closures.

Inspect buckles and ratchets:

  • Watch for cracks, worn teeth, or loose screws. Replacement parts are usually easy to find.

Velcro straps or powerstraps:

  • Regularly check for lost grip or material fatigue.
4. Maintain Liners & Comfort

The inner boot plays a key role in comfort and support.

Air them out after each session:

  • Sweat accumulates in the liner – regular airing is essential.

Prevent odors:

  • Activated charcoal insoles, shoe deodorant, or special hygiene sprays help against unpleasant smells.

Hand washing:

  • Some liners can be hand-washed – check the manufacturer’s instructions.
5. Check Screws and Frames

Loose screws can be dangerous – especially when doing tricks or stairs.

Tighten axles & cuff screws:

  • Regularly check that all screws are securely fastened.

Inspect frame mounts:

  • After crashes or extended use, it’s worth checking the chassis for damage or loosening.

Use Loctite:

  • Threadlocker can help with screws that keep coming loose – but use sparingly.

6. Store Properly

Even storage can go wrong – or right.

Cool & dry:

  • Store your skates in a cool, dry place with stable temperature.

Don’t store in your car:

  • Summer heat or winter cold can permanently damage materials.
Conclusion:

A Little Care Goes a Long Way for Fun and Safety
Hardboot inline skates are real workhorses – but only if you treat them well. Regular maintenance not only extends their lifespan but also improves your skating experience. Take a few minutes for the basics after each session – your ride quality (and your wallet) will thank you.

Tip: In our online shop, you’ll find suitable spare parts, care products, and accessories for your hardboot skates – feel free to take a look!
