Learn Inline Skating in SkaMiDan Skate Courses

Our inline skating courses in Weil am Rhein are aimed at teenagers aged 16 and older, adults, and families (children only when accompanied by an adult) who want to learn inline skating safely, with control, and in a fun way. Whether you are a complete beginner or already have some experience on inline skates – in our group training sessions, you will improve your technique, safety, and mobility step by step.

The skate courses for teenagers, adults, and families take place at the skate park in Weil am Rhein near Laguna / the stadium. Thanks to the adjoining green area, we can make the training varied and adapt it individually to the ability level of the participants.

The most important information first

These courses are all about learning fitness and urban inline skating.

To participate in our courses, you and we are required to observe the following:

  • The course language is German (but we also speak English)
  • After booking, you will receive a confirmation from us by email as well as a later reminder about the upcoming course
  • Wearing complete basic protective equipment, consisting of a helmet, wrist guards, elbow pads and knee pads
  • Bringing an identity card or another form of identification
  • Providing the telephone number of a parent or legal guardian (for emergencies)
  • Being able to use the toilet independently, for example at the adjacent Laguna Badeland (we cannot accompany children to the toilet)

If you or your children do not have your own inline skates or protective gear, you can rent them from us for a fee. The equipment must be booked separately and collected from us before the course.

Course content of our inline skating courses for beginners and slightly advanced skaters

In our skate courses, we follow a consistent structure that not only helps you learn skating techniques and tricks, but also the necessary mobility and physical foundation. Our inline skating courses are also designed so that you can take away important details and exercises for home practice and training outside of our courses.

Our general course structure:

  • Warm-up training with stretching exercises (without inline skates).
  • Technique and safety training (without inline skates)
  • Technique and safety training (with inline skates)
  • Station and obstacle course training to deepen the techniques and tricks you have learned and prepare you for everyday skating (with inline skates)

In our course program, we cover the following:

  • The correct body posture for skating
  • Falling and crash techniques
  • Braking techniques with and without a brake
  • Skating techniques for forward and backward skating
  • Tricks such as jumps, simple slalom and more
  • Skating over obstacles and everyday barriers

This course is ideal for children and teenagers who want to learn inline skating, improve their technique, brake more safely or try out new tricks.

Course duration and costs

The duration of our courses is calculated so that you can get the best possible results from them. Our experience has shown that courses that are too long can lead to muscle fatigue, reduced attention and a poorer overall outcome.

  • Duration: 1.5 hours per course unit
  • Cost: 30 euros per course unit and participant

Important notes, tips and tricks

With the following notes, tips and tricks, you will be well prepared for your course:

  • In case of rain or short-notice trainer cancellation, we will inform you in good time by email and WhatsApp. In this case, we will offer an alternative date. If no suitable date is possible, we will refund the course fee.
  • Course fees can only be refunded if we are informed of non-participation at least one week in advance or in cases of serious illness. In all other cases, we offer a suitable alternative date so that you can make up your course.
  • Free-to-use toilets are located at the adjacent Laguna Badeland in the entrance area or near the barbecue area (Tatzelwurm).
