How to Lemon — Inline Freestyle Slalom Skating basics by SkaMiDan

In this video we will learn together one of the first basic tricks for freestyle slalom skating, called “The Lemon”.

The Lemon is a basic and simple slalom trick, which looks simple, but brings very important subtleties, skills and abilities,
which are super important to get started in slalom freestyle skating.

For most slalom basics and beginner tricks, the basics of general inline skating are an important prerequisite (requirement)!

The Lemon however, which is also called egg laying and Melon is however both for beginners and beginners in freestyle slalom skating,
as well as for beginners of the recreational inline skating suitable.

In the course of this learning video and tutorial in freestyle slalom we also take a look at good and great freestyle inline skates and the most important wheel and frame setups.

The following video is a trick clip about the Lemon with rollerblades. Our trick clips are short clips in which you can see the respective tricks from different perspectives and also in slow motion.

We would like to help you with this so that you can assign the respective tricks to their names. So you can also try to do the trick quickly without any instructions and learn for yourself.


When doing the Lemon, we skate with both skates apart and back next to each other. Ideally, we always come together exactly in the middle between the cones and apart next to the cones.

If we would paint using our skates, we would paint a lot of lemons on the ground.
